Openings:
Early Childhood Educator
If you are interested in working with young children and love getting outside, this is the job for you! We are always looking for teachers to join us in different capacities. Year-long and short term contracts are available depending on fit and interest. These teachers could potentially work with all our age groups.
Minimum Qualifications:
-Minimum 18 years of age
-Complete Wyoming Health & Safety Early Learning Foundations and Guidelines within 30 days of hire
-Adult and child CPR or CPR/PR, First Aid, and AED Certifications within 30 days of hire date
-Perform all physical aspects of the position, including frequently moving around, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds at a time
-Ability to recognize and react calmly and effectively in hazardous/dangerous situations
-Ability to pass a TB risk assessment, a background check, and central registry checks
Preferred Qualifications:
-Previous experience supervising children
-Previous experience working with children and helping them with personal hygiene, medical needs, toileting, diapering, lifting, writing, feeding, and getting in or out of transportation
Responsibilities:
-Work week is Monday – Thursday 7:00 am -6:00 pm shifts vary depending on location needs with flexibility when needs change
-A commitment to working with children and families in a developmental setting and a sincere desire to have a meaningful effect on their lives
-Work with infants to age 5 in a diverse group setting
-Having fun while teaching kids a love of learning through activities such as art, movement, and music
-Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental, and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and field trips.
-Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities.
-Read books to entire classes or to small groups.
-Teaching a foundation for lifelong learning and social, and emotional development
-Engage with children and help them discover the fun in playing, learning, and making new lifelong friends
-Support the teaching staff in implementing childcare programs
-Assist with the implementation of daily plans and activities
-Assist in supervising children and participate with children in activities
-Maintain program site and equipment
-Communicate with parents on an ongoing basis
-Provide positive guidance for children's behavior
-Daily interactions with children, parents, and staff members
-Excellent interpersonal communication skills
-Able to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds
-Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintain them over time.
Benefits:
-4 Day work week
-Paid sick leave (as accrued) and paid vacation (available after 6 months)
-Compensation for STARS/16 training hours
-$1500/yr HSA for Full Time employees (available after 6 months)
-Current pay starts at $14.50 per hour.
-Location – Location – Location – Our center is located within Yellowstone National Park. You
will have the ability to explore Yellowstone on your long weekends. Do you love to hike? How
about cross-country skiing? Maybe you like to fish or love photography. Yellowstone offers a diverse
landscape and incredible wildlife to keep the nature lover in you exploring for years!
