Who We Are
“Educating the Little People of Yellowstone since 1981.”

Welcome to Little People’s Learning Center!  We are thrilled to offer an optimal learning environment for young children of Yellowstone National Park. LPLC came to life after the National Park Service offered a building adapted to the codes of childcare centers in an effort to promote employment opportunities for families with young children.  Through lots of hard work, planning, and many generous donations from citizens and local organizations, Little People’s Learning Center opened its doors on May 19, 1980. LPLC is currently licensed in Wyoming and Montana, has a dedicated and qualified staff, and is led by the center’s Director and a volunteer Board of Directors.

Little People’s Learning Center (LPLC), a non-profit early learning center providing educational experiences to children ages 6 weeks – 10 years in the Yellowstone National Park community of Mammoth, is dedicated to cultivating a life-long love of learning in each one of our students. LPLC strives to meet this goal each and every day by celebrating the unique differences of our students, individualizing care to meet those unique needs, providing a nurturing, home-away-from-home environment, and offering educationally rich experiences daily that speaks to the development of the whole child.
